MX Player Codec ARMv7 NEON adds ARMv7 CPU support to the MX Player app so that it runs well on Android smartphones and tablets based on that processor.
MX Player is one of the most popular ways to watch movies and other multimedia content on an Android tablet, smartphone and other devices. MX Player does not, however, support devices with ARMv7 processors by default. Those devices were released after the current version of MX Player had been developed, tested and released. In order to maintain compatibility across all supported devices, J2 Interactive released the MX Player Codec ARMv7 NEON library.
To make use of this software, simply download the MX Player app and then download this package. You’ll now have full access to the features that have made this player so popular. That includes hardware acceleration via a state-of-the-art HW+ decoder and multi-core processing. In fact, this multimedia player was the first for Android to support multiple cores, and that multi-core processing allows performance up to 70 percent better than a single core.
MX supports a wide range of video and audio codecs. It also supports many different subtitle formats. Basic to advantages features can be controlled through gestures or menu items, and you can zoom and pan, pinch to zoom and so forth.
There are no negatives to mention. This codec and the player that uses works well and in a reliable fashion. There are some important points to consider, however. This codec is a component for the MX Player app, and it requires it. It isn’t necessarily a universal codec that can be used with other players. It’s also specifically for ARMv7 processors and will not work well or at all with non-ARMv7 devices.
